American Le Mans Series
Sports car racing based on the tradition of the famous 24 Hours of LeMans race; multiple classes
of cars run in the same race. All races are contested on natural terrain road courses at famous
tracks throughout North America like Sebring, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta. The crown
jewel of the season is the opener at the 12 Hours of Sebring, where many of the greats of sports car
racing have been crowned in the 55 year history. Depending on the class, cars can reach speeds
up to almost 200mph.
