In October of 1974, Yokohama,s seventh plant, the Onomichi plant, opened its doors. The plant specializes in Off-the-Road (OTR) tires and is capable of fully meeting the worldwide increase in demand for OTR tires. It is home to the latest technology, which allows for top-quality production. Some of the largest tires are produced here and exported throughout the world. The Onomichi plant is located in the southeast part of Hiroshima Prefecture, facing Mukojima across the Onomichi Channel.
