COMPANY PROFILE:

Due to its growth, Yokohama Tire Corporation, a billion dollar global company located in Orange County has an immediate need for a Sales Specialist.  This is a newly created position reporting to the Director of Commercial Sales.

To meet growing demands of the U.S. market, Yokohama Rubber Company established a North American manufacturing and marketing arm- Yokohama Tire Corporation in 1969. Yokohama Tire Corporation operates U.S. manufacturing and distribution throughout the country and has experienced outstanding growth. It serves a network of 4,200 dealers and has revenues above $750 million. 

The Sales Specialist position has many varied responsibilities, including those listed below:  

  • Price Benchmarking:  responsible for data collection, analysis, maintenance of the benchmark system and making pricing recommendations. Includes:
  • Monthly/Quarterly report generation
  • Managing price changes
  • Managing pricing program implementation
  • Communicate with Pricing Dept.
  • Forecast Management:  responsible for forecast input.  Must work with analytical group, Product Planning, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate forecasts.
  • Advantage Program: manage overall program effectiveness.  Works with Marketing Communications and Sales field to continually improve programs.
  • Dealer Programs:  implements dealer sales programs, such as quarterly specials and/or overstock/discontinued program.  Track and review program effectiveness.
      • Ad-hoc Projects:  work with analytical group on any ad-hoc projects related to the above.
      • Sales Support:  support Sales field whenever possible including dealer events.

 

Education:  Ideal candidate will have a BA or BS degree

Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years sales experience (direct and/or indirect),
  • Experience with Excel and Access at intermediate level
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail a must.  
  • Automotive related industry knowledge a plus.

Account Managers

Yokohama has exciting career opportunities within the eastern and central zones. These highly visible positions will manage, promote and develop consumer accounts and prospects within assigned territories along the eastern seaboard and in the central US.

Education: Business/Sales/Marketing degree or equivalent.

Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in Business/Sales/Marketing or equivalent along with sales experience, (preferably with a major tire manufacturer).
  • Excellent interpersonal, managerial and presentation skills required.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, commission program and comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance and auto allowance.
