Yokohama Tire Corporation Sponsors Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for 9th Consecutive Year

FULLERTON, CA. – (Aug. 14, 2013) –For the ninth consecutive year, Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) is “the official tire” of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which takes place Sunday, August 18, along the Pebble Beach Golf Links in central California.
YTC will have a display, which will be open to attendees Saturday and Sunday, located close to the first tee and near one of the highly-trafficked main entrances. Among the highlights:
-- YTC’s ultra high-performance tires, the all-new ADVAN Sport® V105 and the new ADVAN Neova® AD08 R.
-- A sleek, 429-horsepower, 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550 fitted with ADVAN Sport V105 tires.
-- Two PlayStation® race simulators featuring the soon-to-be-released Gran Turismo 6 (GT6), the latest edition of the highly-popular video game from Sony Computer Entertainment Incorporated. Yokohama is a technical partner which provided data and technical expertise on the development of the race simulation. To date, cumulative sales across the Gran Turismo series developed by Polyphony Digital Inc. have exceeded 70 million units worldwide.

Besides the large display, Holtschneider said YTC’s Pebble Beach Concours sponsorship agreement includes name and logo placement on every ticket and lanyard worn by spectators and participants, ad placement in the event program and participation in a number of Concours-related events and activities.
