YOKOHAMA TIRE CORPORATION
VOLUNTARY RECALL INFORMATION – RY215

Yokohama is conducting a voluntary recall on one size (7.50R16 Load Range F) of the RY215 that is missing the following tire markings: Department of Transportation (DOT) symbol, maximum load rating and corresponding inflation pressure, and the number of plies and ply cord material. The performance capability of the tire is not affected. The only issue with the tires is the missing sidewall information.

We are working with our dealers to contact potentially affected customers who may be using one or more of these particular tires that were produced during a specific time period. Customers who think they might have purchased one of these partially-labeled tires are directed to have a free inspection at their Yokohama dealer. The tire inspection will be free to the public and any affected tires will be replaced at no cost.

We are initiating this process in accord with NHTSA regulations and to ensure that our customers can easily read the tire’s sidewall information to ensure proper use and maintenance.

To handle questions, Yokohama Consumer Affairs representatives will be available at 877-700-9656.

Two Sizes of Two Private Label Tires Produced by Yokohama Tire Corporation Subject to Voluntary Recall

BIG FOOT BIG O S/T and MIRADA Cross Tour SLX

FULLERTON, CA (July 9, 2012) – Two sizes of two private label tires produced by Yokohama Tire Corporation for TBC Corporation are the subject of a voluntary recall. The 235/70R16 and 265/70R17 of the BIG FOOT BIG O S/T (exclusively sold at Big O Tires locations) and the MIRADA Cross Tour SLX (distributed through TBC Corporation) were manufactured at Yokohama's plant in Salem, Virginia between January 2009 and January 2011.

The voluntary recall, initiated in accordance with NHTSA regulations, was issued due to a manufacturing anomaly which may result in a crack or separation in the tire's lower sidewall.

Yokohama is partnering with Big O and TBC Corporation to reach consumers and dealers pertaining to the recall. Customers who think they might have purchased one of the specified BIG FOOT BIG O S/T tires are invited to have a free inspection at any
Big O Tires location. Customers who think they might have purchased one of the specified MIRADA Cross Tour SLX tires are invited to have a free inspection at the dealer where they purchased the tires. Any affected tires will be replaced at no cost.
