The Yokohama London VIP Soccer Experience has been established as part of Yokohama's support of youth soccer and will take place in August 2018. The program will recognize ten (10) national soccer players from all of the eligible players nominated. Each winner will travel with a parent or guardian to London, England with Yokohama to experience an unparalleled soccer experience with Yokohama’s global soccer partner, Chelsea Football Club.
Players between the ages of 13 and 18 years old are eligible to be nominated by their parents or respective soccer club coaches and should be recommended on the basis of the player’s academic excellence, sportsmanship, and commitment to community. A player’s soccer ability is NOT part of the selection criteria and will NOT be evaluated.
Individuals who are student-athletes representing a member school within a state association of his/her state of residence in the sport of soccer, as an interscholastic sport (High School Athlete), may be ineligible to participate and/or accept this award according to the rules and regulations of his/her state association. Any coach or administrator who desires to nominate a High School Athlete should first consult with the High School Athlete’s athletic department and/or state association prior to submitting.
Individuals who are (a) High School Athletes committed to NCAA member institutions, and certain other post-secondary college institutions or (b) High School Athletes contemplating playing soccer at NCAA member institutions, and certain other post-secondary college institutions (collectively Potential College Athlete) may be ineligible to accept this award according the rules and regulations of the NCAA, other inter-collegiate athletic associations and/or the post-secondary institution the Potential College Athlete is committed to attend or interested in attending. Any coach or administrator who desires to nominate a Potential College Athlete should first consult with the NCAA, other inter-collegiate athletic associations and/or the Potential College Athlete’s post-secondary institution’s compliance officer or athletic department director prior to submitting.
