Yokohama Tire Corporation Returns as Official Tire of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for the 11th Consecutive Year

SANTA ANA, CA. – (Aug. 12, 2015) – Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) is back as an Official Sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for the 11th consecutive year. The iconic event is set for Sunday, August 16 along the scenic Pebble Beach Golf Links in central California.

“It’s 11 years and counting with the Pebble Beach Concours,” said Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama director of marketing. “Our ongoing partnership with the premier car event in the world has been nothing short of amazing. We’ve used the Pebble Beach Concours to promote our flagship ADVAN® tire brand since 2005 and it’s definitely been an excellent venue.”

Holtschneider said YTC’s open-air booth – located adjacent to the first tee and near the highly trafficked main entrance – will spotlight three of YTC’s ultra high-performance ADVAN tires: the all-season ADVAN Sport® A/S, ADVAN Sport® V105 and ADVAN Neova® AD08R. The new GEOLANDAR G055™ crossover all-season tire will also be on display.

Open to attendees Saturday and Sunday, YTC’s booth will also include:

– A special “Drive to Win” contest with two Sony PlayStation® race simulators featuring the epic video game Gran Turismo 6 (GT6). The person logging the fastest time on Sunday will win a certificate for a free set of Yokohama high performance, passenger or light truck tires up to 19 inches. Yokohama is a technical partner on the GT6 series, which has 1,200 types of cars and 76 courses across 38 locations. Yokohama provided tire data and expertise for race-game realism.

– Imagination playground blocks highlighting YTC’s affiliation with KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring all children get the balanced and active play they need to thrive.

– A display featuring the newly released Chelsea FC home and away kits. Yokohama recently signed a multi-year shirt sponsorship agreement with the reigning English Premier League soccer champions.

YTC’s Pebble Beach Concours sponsorship agreement also includes brand name placement on every ticket, ad placement in the event program and participation in a number of Concours-related events and activities. Attendees will be given YTC and Pebble Beach Concours co-branded lanyards.
