Team Yokohama’s Travis Pastrana Shreds Again on ADVAN® Tires in the Exciting, New Gymkhana: Aussie Shred Video
He came, he saw, he shredded! Team Yokohama member and action sports superstar Travis Pastrana went “Down Under” to soar to new heights in the new action-packed, stunt-laden Gymkhana: Aussie Shred video. Pastrana blasted through Sydney, Australia in a screaming Vermont SportsCar-built, 670-horsepower, turbo-boosted 4-wheel drive 1978 Subaru Brat, nicknamed “The Brataroo,” which was fitted with Yokohama’s 18-inch premium ADVAN A052® and ADVAN Apex® tires, depending on the stunt.
Produced by Hoonigan Media Machine, the latest and most outrageous edition of the internet-breaking Gymkhana film franchise – and third-in-a-row for Pastrana – features bigger jumps and next-level stunts that are the hallmark of Gymkhana phenomena. Among the famous landmarks featured were Sydney Harbor, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Bridge, Bathurst’s Mount Panorama, and Broken Hill, as well as shots from the Outback. Plus, there are several cameos in the video.
“Besides being an ultra-talented racecar driver, Travis is a magician when it comes to the unbelievable stunts he does in the Gymkhana series,” said Andrew Briggs, Yokohama Tire’s senior vice president of marketing and product management. “Each Gymkhana ups the ante, and the new edition really pushed the limit and kicks it up to another level. We’re proud he demonstrated the versatility, performance, strength, and technology of our Yokohama ADVAN tires to a global audience.”
“Stunt after stunt, the Yokohama ADVAN tires delivered the grip for me to let it rip!” Pastrana said. “The precision handling needed to go all out requires confidence in your technical partners — and the Yokohama ADVAN tires gave my Subaru Brat the edge it needed to execute the maneuvers of Gymkhana 2025.”
“From the streets of Annapolis to the Outback of Australia, Yokohama has been an essential part of the last three Gymkhana films with Travis Pastrana,” said Teague Fleury, Hoonigan Media Machine’s VP of content. “Their partnership and the performance of their tires play a big role in making every Gymkhana trick possible.”
The wildly popular Gymkhana videos were created by Pastrana’s longtime friend and former teammate, the late Ken Block. Pastrana continues the tradition and creative spirit sparked by Ken Block, whose vision transformed a passion for driving into a global cultural phenomenon.
